Bruce Marek - Owner and Senior Tax Practitioner With over 15 years as a Tax Practitioner and over 25 years of financial experience, Bruce brings invaluable expertise to the company. Prior to starting Fair Tax in 1989, Bruce worked in various financial and management positions within the banking and brokerage industry. In 1979, Bruce graduated from the University of South Dakota with an Accounting degree. Mary Marek - Owner and Operations Manager Mary worked part-time with Fair Tax from its beginning until 1995, when she joined the firm full-time. With over 15 years of experience as a tax and bookkeeping operations manager, Mary brings incredible value to the company. Prior to starting Fair Tax , Mary managed several functions in the banking and brokerage industries. Mary graduated from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas and has been in the financial services industry since 1978. Jeff Alvey - Vice President Jeff has over 15 years experience in banking and tax preparation. Jeff bringsa commercial, residential and construction lending background to Fair Tax . He has an extensive background in business start-ups and financing, and has a thorough understanding of business plan development and financial statement review. Jeff graduated from Augustana College with an Accounting and Business Administration degree.
